Ediciones Cabrer, which produces the Bohío magazine, the National Tourism Guide La Cotica, the Regional Maps “Find Yourself DR”, the Bohío News portal and other digital editions, signed a strategic alliance with the Dominican Health Tourism Association (ADTS ) which involves joint work in the promotion of health tourism as a niche of the sector in the Dominican Republic.
According to Dr. Cambiaso, “we as an entity were looking for another institution that communed with similar principles and in turn had international reach and a prestigious name like Ediciones Cabrer, which has the official tourism guide of the country, La Cotica, as we had in perspective to develop and promote the health and wellness tourism guide of the Dominican Republic worldwide, which we effectively launched on September 30, 2015.
“So that there was no duplicity, we wanted that country information that is already official and has the endorsement of the Ministry of Tourism and other associated entities such as TripAdvisor, could be transmitted in the same language, said the president of the ADTS.
The Health and Wellness Tourism Destination Guide, of which Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso is co-author, was made jointly with the Medical Tourism Association (MTA), which offers the information that certifies the Dominican Republic as a reliable international medical tourism destination and is available on the Medical Tourism Association’s web portal, number one medical tourism search site, also in eBook format through Amazon, Kindle and iTunes and is distributed internationally in conferences on health care, strategic and insurance points.
For his part, Reynaldo Caminero said that the Cabrer Edition media are pleased to support this initiative at a time when health tourism worldwide is growing and in the Dominican Republic has proven to be a niche of great potential. “For our media, with a recognized track record in the Dominican tourism industry, it is a pride to be part of initiatives such as this, which contribute to a stronger projection of our country as a destination,” said the company’s executive director, who in 2016 will be celebrating half a century of uninterrupted publication with Bohío magazine.
