{"id":7413,"date":"2017-08-01T19:58:25","date_gmt":"2017-08-01T19:58:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/adtusalud.org\/?p=7413"},"modified":"2020-01-12T18:51:55","modified_gmt":"2020-01-12T18:51:55","slug":"second-edition-of-the-health-and-wellness-tourism-guide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adtusalud.org\/en\/second-edition-of-the-health-and-wellness-tourism-guide\/","title":{"rendered":"Second edition of the Health and Wellness Tourism Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Dominican Association of Health Tourism (ADTS) and AF Strategic Communication announced that on August 1, the second edition of the Health and Wellness Tourism Guide of the country will be launched, which will provide information on the Main actors of the medical tourism value chain, strengthening the country&#8217;s positioning as a destination for health, well-being and investment.<\/p>\n<p>The first edition of the guide was published in 2015, in Orlando, Florida as part of the celebration of one of the most important health and wellness tourism fairs in the United States organized by the Medical Tourism Association (MTA) . &#8220;This medium has a wide diffusion and international visibility, in addition to being an ideal tool to guide international patients in the process of choosing a reliable health provider,&#8221; said Alejandro Cambiaso, president of the ADTS.<\/p>\n<p>On his side, Lic. Amelia Reyes Mora, vice president of the ADTS and president of the Public Relations firm AF Strategic Communications, an agency specialized in health tourism, reported that this second edition will feature the introduction of Mr. Francisco Javier Garc\u00eda, minister of Tourism and Dr. Altagracia Guzm\u00e1n Marcelino, Minister of Health.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Cambiaso stressed that this publication is designed to educate international patients about the process of receiving health care in the country, from the moment they investigate the destination, options of qualified and certified health centers that have international departments , as well as hotels and cultural, budgetary and more frequent aspects of health tourists.<\/p>\n<p>The new edition will be available on the webdominicanrepublic.medicaltourism.com portal and in the Dominican Association of Health Tourism adtusalud.org in the same way in eBook format through Amazon, Kindle and iTunes, and is distributed internationally in the offices of Tourism promotion of the Ministry of Tourism, consulates and Dominican embassies abroad with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Accredited
